Making henna cones
I sell henna cones that are home made. One cone has enough henna to last 4 hours of intensive work. in order to keep the henna reusable, it is best to keep the cones in a freezer. as long as the henna is frozen, it will keep its makings for 3 months or more.
Home made cones
The henna I use is home made out of natural ingredients. I work with so called "red henna", which is a natural temporart henna tattoo, that stains the skin in a red/brown color. the tattoo will remain on you skin between 3 days and 3 weeks.
I use a cone that is also home made in order to draw with the henna paste
The secret – very fine and pure powder
what is henna? the henna powder is made out of Lawsonia Inermis plant, the shrub is cut three times a year and the leaves are dried and ground into a very fine powder, this is the henna powder.
I buy ready ground powder produced in Pakistan, this powder, as aposed to the one bought at markets in town, is pure, no sand is mixed in it. even so, i make sure before making a paste, to sift the powder throgh a very fine cloth, in order to be able to use it for very fine lined work.
