Toni says: “I was born in Zimbabwe and came to Israel at the age of 6. I was always in to Art and as so, after my army service I completed a degree in Multidisciplinary Arts at Tel Aviv University. After that I moved to London, there I married and had my 3 lovely children. After having my 3rd child, I decided I needed a change. At that stage I was working in the tourism industry, I found a course in a very well know prestigious make-up and hairstyling school in London. As this course was very dear, I had to remortgage our house. This was a bit risky, but it was worth it. Even prior graduating I had friends asking me to face paint their children, and that is how the word spread. When my Asian friend saw my face painting designs and the make-up, she suggested and highly recommended me to learn how to apply henna. This is how I found Neesha’s school of henna art, where I completed a course of how to make and apply henna.
Today Toni lives with her husband and 3 children in Har Haluts, north of Israel.
As Purim is on our doorstep, she will be teaching face painting at two separate workshops in Karmiel. There will be face painting kits for sale too!
